Vertigo is putting out these crime books, one by Ian Rankin, and Ithink a book called Darkness Calls, and one by Brian Azzarello titled, crap, can't think of it now. There was also a hard cover Japanese comic that was really attractive. Another book that I saw, whic I had actually purchased a few days earlier, is ONI's You Have Killed Me, writte by Jamie Rich.
That book is just SUPER attractive. Very well thought out and produced book, and very classy.
I decided then and there that I am definitely going to put out Heavy as a hardcover book. It just seems like the only way to go. I feel it's that special and deserves that kind of prescence. I was really taken with the production of You Have Killed Me. Much like the production value of the latest Parker book by Darwyn Cooke. I really want to give this project that feel. What do you call it? Substantiability? I dunno. But there it is.

...for 'american' comics, two recommendations...
Desolation Jones & Global Frequency. G.F. there are two trades, both good, I dig the second most.
Just thought I'd hit you while the thought popped to mind.
