Heavy Cover Concept

Took about thirty minutes and banged out this idea. I got a wonderful bit of inspiration talking to my friend, Ira about story structure possibilities and the whole thing opened up for me quite nicely.

So, running with that bit of inspiration, I decided to take a crack at what I figured the first cover might look like. I wanted to do something engaging, cool, and have a pretty high design function.

I did a bunch of thumbnails and decided I liked the sillouette approach on top of a green/grey. I wanted the cover to feel a bit noir by presentation, but, kinda sci-fi and steampunky from the imagery.

A simple nice white font to keep it elegant and there ya have it.

I'm really interested to hear what people think about it. If you saw this on the stand or as a thumbnail on the web, would it make you pause for a second? Perhaps pick it up?
